Not the best tutorial... =quinteros-lama asked for steps... but then i decided to make this PSEUDOtutorial... Because you can find better ones here in deviantart xP. HERE [link]

FINISHED VERSION HERE:

>Vampire Lady: Rosa Grandiflora<

Basically, this is not the Art-school way to use watercolors... It's only my way to paint, and is clearly based in the use of colored pencils... Is not so artistical, but i think is not that bad to hide face under a paperbag xP.

Some Tips that I learned...:

:blackrose:First of all, a first clean water layer is a must!
Water helps the colors to bleed better, and they don't dry so quick, so you can mix better. So, first water, then, watercolors.

:blackrose: Paper. I use 300g paper, cause i hate when paper deformates because of the humidity... gravity make the pigments move to edges.

:blackrose: Brushes. At least a very fine, medium and broad brush, and a big one to apply water.

:blackrose: If you want a rich and saturated color, first make the layer for shades, as shown for the roses and hair in the example. Then apply the layer of concentrated color.
This is because, if you put first the rich color, and then the shades, if the dilution for the shade is less concentrated than the rich color, it will dilute the paint from the paper Dx...I hate that...

:blackrose: In the other hand, if you want diluted or light colors, first apply the layer to obtain the most light color [more water], then more layers to obtain darker colors or shades [less water]. This, because if you put the dark color first, the same as the point above. the diluted mix will bleed the concentrated mix.. and make a mess...

:blackrose: Always wipe out the excess of dilution with a tissue. excess of water make a mess...

Well... Hope this helps...
Thank you for reading [for those who really readed this xD]
