To Protect the Protector*** Author's Note. This story is separate and apart from my other entry for the Unlikely Friends contest. This does not follow the chronology of the other story. It is in fact a story that branches in a different direction. This story assumes Sara gets home originally from Loreithia, the other story assumes she never made it back. ***~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Empress Luciana stared out the window, warm streams of sunlight dancing on her cheeks. She intently watched the bustle of activity down below, a smile gracing her delicate pink lips.It was two days until the high holiday and all of Loreithia was busy preparing for the celebrations. Children ran through the fields, gathering flowers for large bouquets. Bakers were preparing an array of succulent confections: cakes, cookies, muffins, and more. The butchers had already slaughtered their finest stock and were preparing the slow roasted beasts and bubbling stews.
